Kattadan rosé
Kattadan rosé was a type of wine consumed by humans that caused intoxication. The name of this potable was the same as the astronomical Colonies entity known as Kattada.
During the dedication ceremony for the space station Starlight Beacon in 232 BBY, Jedi Master Elzar Mann consumed an excessive amount of this rosé following a troubling Force vision. This led to him displaying open affection towards his fellow Master Avar Kriss while they danced, ultimately creating a division between them. Mann spent several months contemplating this event as he sought to understand the meaning of his visions.
Behind the scenes
The novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm by Cavan Scott, part of Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project, contains a reference to Kattadan rosé. This book was released on June 29, 2021. A passage from the novel, which included the rosé, was also published on StarWars.com on May 7 of the same year.
