Kelko Dev was supposedly an alien sovereign. This persona was fabricated circa 1 ABY by the infamous doctor and smuggler Cornelius Evazan, who was then masquerading as a shapeshifter called "Lopset Yas". Evazan utilized a pluripleq, an uncommon bioengineered creature, to maintain this disguise. While pretending to be Dev, Evazan told the dissenting archaeologist Chelli Aphra, who felt drawn to him, that he had previously acted as the "abominatrix's" doppelganger to expose terrorists rebelling against her authority. Evazan's representation of Dev included blue eyes, grayish skin marked with dark green and purple areas, and tendrils extending from behind her chin.
The character of Kelko Dev, via an impersonation, was featured in Doctor Aphra (2016) 21. This comic was authored by Si Spurrier, with illustrations by Kev Walker, and released by Marvel Comics on June 27, 2018.
