Kev Walker

Kevin Walker, a comics creator and illustrator hailing from Britain, is currently lending his artistic talents to Marvel's Doctor Aphra series, which is being penned by Kieron Gillen. Additionally, he provided the cover art for Dark Horse's Republic 55.

Walker's professional journey commenced in 1987 with his contributions to Future Shocks in 2000 AD. Following this, he worked on several of the anthology comic's most well-known and long-running stories, such as Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper, the ABC Warriors, and Judge Anderson. Initially recognized for his polished, painted style and the intricate detailing of his inked artwork, Walker has since 1998 adopted a different approach. This new style incorporates a high-contrast black line aesthetic with pronounced shadows, complemented by flat computer coloring. He has contributed to 2000 AD, Warhammer comics, and the Magic: The Gathering collectible card game. Currently, he is employed by Marvel Comics, with some of his previous projects including Thunderbolts and Avengers Arena.
