A Bothan female named Knol Ven'nari achieved the rank of Jedi Master within the Jedi Order during the closing decades of the Galactic Republic. Her Bothan peers called her the Fire Eater due to her unique talent for manipulating fire through her connection to the Force. While she eventually became a Master, Ven'nari never accepted a Padawan. Choosing instead, she traveled throughout the galaxy, guided by the Force, and rarely visited the Jedi Temple located on the galactic capital planet Coruscant. Over time, Ven'nari became a celebrated figure within the Jedi Order. During her service as a Jedi, Ven'nari was responsible for saving all of Bothan space by successfully driving off Wookiee raiders.
In the year 21.7 BBY, which was four months following the start of the Clone Wars, Ven'nari joined fellow Jedi Masters Jon Antilles, Nico Diath, Fay, and Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi on a mission to the planet of Queyta. The group's objective was to enter a mobile Separatist facility that was positioned on one of Queyta's lava rivers and retrieve a sample of the antidote designed to counter swamp gas, a chemical weapon that the Separatists intended to deploy against the Grand Army of the Republic's clone troopers.
Shortly after Ven'nari and the other Jedi made their way into the Separatist base, they were confronted by the Separatist operatives Asajj Ventress and Durge. During the ensuing confrontation, Durge fired upon and destroyed two Skakoan guards, causing them to explode. Ven'nari then used the Force to pull the resulting flames towards herself, which resulted in severe burns. Diath suggested that she be evacuated for medical attention, but she refused, declaring that her end was near. Diath then employed the Force to alleviate her pain as she died from her wounds. Of all the Jedi who participated in the mission, only Kenobi survived, successfully securing the antidote and returning it to the Jedi Temple. A holographic ceremony was conducted at the Jedi Temple to commemorate Ven'nari and the other Masters who had fallen.

Ven'nari was considered to be a legend in the Jedi Order.
During the closing decades of the Galactic Republic, Knol Ven'nari, a Bothan female, was an active member of the Jedi Order. The Jedi Order took her in and provided her with training in the ways of the Force, which ultimately led to her promotion to the rank of Jedi Master. However, Ven'nari opted not to train a Padawan, and instead chose to travel throughout the galaxy, following the guidance of the Force.
Ven'nari fought against Wookiee bandits to protect Bothan space during her time as a Jedi. She was given the nickname "Fire Eater" by her fellow Bothans because of her skill in manipulating fire by using the Force. She seldom made trips to the Jedi Temple which was located on the galactic capital of Coruscant. By the time the Clone Wars began, which was the war between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Ven'nari was already known as one of the Jedi Order's legendary figures.

Ven'nari took part in a mission to Queyta.
In 21.7 BBY, which was four months after the Clone Wars began, Ven'nari traveled to the planet of Queyta to meet with Jedi Masters Jon Antilles, Nico Diath, and Fay. Their mission was to obtain a sample of the antidote for the Separatists' chemical weapon known as swamp gas. The Separatists had previously tested the airborne gas on the Gungan colony located on Ohma-D'un, a moon orbiting the planet Naboo. This bioweapon would allow the Separatists to eliminate the clone troopers serving in the Grand Army of the Republic without endangering their own droid forces.
When Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi arrived to join the Jedi Masters, Ven'nari expressed her frustration to Kenobi about his late arrival. She also questioned Antilles's presence on the mission, pointing out that he was not originally assigned to their team. After speaking with Antilles, Ven'nari and the other Masters successfully infiltrated the mobile Separatist base, which was situated on a small island that moved along the planet's lava river. Once inside, both Ven'nari and Diath noticed that the base was not guarded by battle droids. The Bothan noted that the facility was staffed by personnel and believed that dealing with the guards would be easy. However, Antilles pointed out that the guards were Skakoans—a species that required pressurized armor to breathe methane—and that attacking them with a lightsaber would cause them to explode.

Vennari dies after sacrificing herself to save her fellow Jedi's lives.
Ven'nari and the Jedi encountered Asajj Ventress, a Dark Jedi, and Durge, a Gen'Dai bounty hunter, who informed the Jedi that their spies had already alerted them to the group's presence in the facility. As Durge shot two of the Skakoans, Ven'nari urged the strike team to move aside. When the Skakoans exploded, Ven'nari used her pyrokinetic abilities with the Force to draw the fire toward herself.
After the fire dissipated, Diath and the team discovered Ven'nari with severe burns, and she told Diath that she was about to die. Diath used the Force to ease Ven'nari's suffering as she passed away. Following her death, Diath, Antilles, and Fay were also killed. However, Kenobi successfully retrieved the antidote and returned to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Once Kenobi had recovered from his injuries, the Jedi held a holographic memorial service to honor Ven'nari and the other deceased Jedi.
Knol Ven'nari was considered one of the Jedi Order's wanderers, rarely visiting the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Despite this, she remained committed to fighting for peace and freedom throughout the galaxy. Even after being promoted to the rank of Master, Ven'nari declined to take a Padawan. She harbored resentment towards Jedi stationed on Coruscant and was eager to complete the mission on Queyta so that she could attend to other matters. She also openly questioned Jon Antilles's involvement in the mission, even calling him a drifter. Ven'nari was willing to sacrifice herself to ensure the safety of her fellow Jedi. She had long, flowing brown hair and green eyes.
Ven'nari possessed the skills necessary to attain the rank of Jedi Master. She had the ability to use the Force to manipulate fire, which earned her the nickname "Fire Eater." During the mission to Queyta, Ven'nari also demonstrated her proficiency with Force flight, using it to infiltrate the Separatist facility.
Ven'nari wore a set of brown Jedi robes and wielded a lightsaber that contained a green crystal.
Knol Ven'nari made her first appearance in flashbacks in the fifty-third issue of the Star Wars: Republic comic series. The issue was written by W. Haden Blackman, illustrated by Brian Ching, and published by Dark Horse Comics on April 30, 2003. Her name was incorrectly spelled as "Knol Ven'Nari" in the 2006 reference book Star Wars: The Comics Companion, written by Ryder Windham and Daniel Wallace.
