Kriin-wood originated as a type of wood found on the planet of Alderaan. Its value skyrocketed after Alderaan's destruction in 0 BBY. Notably, Kriin-wood was used to line the armored and soundproofed interiors of the SoroSuub Corporation's XP-40 Luxury Coach.
The first mention of Kriin-wood within canon occurred in the Unlimited Power roleplaying sourcebook released by Fantasy Flight Games in 2018.
