The Kynkru family represented one lineage amongst the Chiss Ascendancy's Chiss families. Although the Clarr and Obbic families held official dominion over the planet Sposia, the Kynkru family, along with the Csap family, were also part of the patrol system there. In addition, the Stybla family generally received deference from all four families concerning decisions about defense.
