Laait held the rank of Supreme Commander within the Yuuzhan Vong forces in the year 29 ABY. In the course of the Battle of Yuuzhan'tar, Warmaster Nas Choka communicated to Supreme Commander Laait that the fleet dispatched to Zonama Sekot had come across living ships, and directed Laait to pass this information on to Supreme Overlord Shimrra. Laait interrupted Shimrra's "meditation" with the deities, which greatly displeased the Supreme Overlord. Ignoring Shimrra's menacing demeanor, Laait conveyed the news, which caused significant bewilderment among the Elites. His fate following the liberation of Coruscant remains uncertain.
