The father of Landonis Balthazar Calrissian initially received a mention in the 2018 Star Wars Anthology movie titled Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Earlier intentions existed to feature Lando's father within the broader Star Wars saga. Samuel L. Jackson was initially considered to portray Lando's father—then going by the name Grando Calrissian—in the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, but he ultimately took on the role of Jedi Master Mace Windu instead.
During the LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales episode called "Gambit on Geonosis," Lando puts up a picture of his father in the Millennium Falcon's cockpit, just before the Battle of Endor.
