In the year 22 BBY, a operative from the Black Sun crime syndicate took on the identity of Commissioner Langu Sommilor. He, along with two accomplices, ambushed the real Langu Sommilor and his group of pilots at the landing platform located on the planet of Kynachi. The pretender, a male individual disguised as Sommilor, who is a male Kynachi, traveled to the world of Vaced to rendezvous with his escort to Coruscant, the Jedi knight Nuru Kungurama. Upon arrival on Vaced, the impostor greeted Kungurama, only to be almost immediately assassinated by a Mandalorian sniper. Kungurama gave chase to the sniper, seemingly defeating him. Under the mistaken impression that the impostor was indeed Sommilor, Kungurama instructed his clone trooper squad, Breakout Squad, to secure the body aboard his freighter with the intention of returning it to Kynachi. Subsequently, the ship was utilized to transport the team to Bilbringi Depot. Following the engagement, the droid known as Cleaver discovered the actual Langu Sommilor and his pilots, bound and unconscious, within the freighter's cargo hold. Breakout Squad examined the corpse and found a synthskin mask and a gold colored wig. The remains of the impersonator were handed over to Republic Intelligence for the purpose of identification. Despite the presence of a Black Sun tattoo on his forearm, the body remained unidentified even after a period of four days.
His initial appearance occurred in The Clone Wars: Secret Missions 3: Duel at Shattered Rock, a book for young readers penned by Ryder Windham; however, the revelation of his imposture was not disclosed until the subsequent book, The Clone Wars: Secret Missions 4: Guardians of the Chiss Key.
