The Lean Nuuti Bar and Grill was a combined restaurant and recreation establishment situated on StarForge Station, a shadowport located within the StarForge Nebula. By 0 ABY, the Lean Nuuti Bar and Grill served as the location where the former Imperial personnel of the EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate Far Orbit finalized their letter of marque and reprisal, enabling them to operate as privateers for the Alliance to Restore the Republic following their mutiny against the Galactic Empire.
The Lean Nuuti Bar and Grill functioned as both a dining establishment and a place for leisure, found within the shadowport of StarForge Station, which itself was positioned in the StarForge Nebula within the Mid Rim. The Lean Nuuti was characterized by its dim lighting, uncleanliness, and dampness. It featured a worn-out autojuke for playing music, a holodarts game, and several tables tended to by a service droid. Among the food and drink offered at the Lean Nuuti were flangth, ootoowergs, and Shasa ale. The grill primarily catered to the pirates and various non-Human individuals who were frequent visitors to StarForge Station.

Established by 0 ABY, the Lean Nuuti served as the rendezvous point where the rebellious crew of the Imperial EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate Far Orbit convened with a representative of the Alliance to Restore the Republic after the crew had taken control of the starship from the Empire. The purpose of the meeting was to finalize the conditions of the letter of marque and reprisal that would permit the Far Orbit to function as a privateer ship for the Rebels. With instructions to arrive as a group of six and order flangth and ootoowergs along with Shasa ale, those crew members of the Far Orbit would then be approached by an Ithorian. Following the crew's order, the Ithorian approached, informing them that ootoowergs were unavailable. Under the pretense of accompanying the Ithorian to see what alternatives were available, the Far Orbit's captain, Dhas Fenoep Vedij, and another member of the crew went to clarify the final terms of the deal with the Alliance. During Vedij's absence, four alien thugs approached the remaining crew members and began to insult them.
These insults escalated into a brawl between the two factions. However, upon Vedij's return from successfully negotiating with the Alliance, he commanded an end to the fight, before leading his crew to secure bunks for the night.
The Lean Nuuti Bar and Grill made its initial appearance in Preparing for War, an adventure scenario featured in 1998's The Far Orbit Project, penned by Timothy S. O'Brien. This book served as a supplement to West End Games's Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game and shared the thematic elements of the earlier publication Pirates & Privateers, as it centered on the privateering vessel Far Orbit. The outcome of the altercation within the Lean Nuuti is contingent on the players' actions, with the losing side offering to buy the victors drinks. In the event of a draw, the aliens will purchase drinks for the crew members to equalize the situation.
