"Life Day Part 2" constitutes a narrative within the realm of comic storytelling. It premiered as the main feature in Star Wars Adventures (2020) 4, which was released on March 24, 2021.
On the planet of Kashyyyk, Qui-Gon Jinn, a Jedi Master, along with several Wookiees, found themselves prisoners of Korgan and his fellow Trandoshans. These captors had seized them during their Life Day festivities. Jinn cautioned Korgan, emphasizing the gravity of his actions in capturing him, and urged him to release the Wookiees and cease his aggression. Korgan dismissed his warnings, prompting Jinn to attempt a force-based mind trick. However, the mind trick proved ineffective against Korgan, who then commanded the continuation of the hunt.
In a parallel development, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jinn's Jedi Padawan, collaborated with Brennonn, the Wookiee leader, to locate the abducted Wookiees. Kenobi grappled with uncertainty, hesitant to expose more Wookiees to danger, even with the Trandoshans' pursuit of Brennonn. Their predicament with the Trandoshans evoked a lesson Brennonn had learned from her elders: "Sometimes you have to remember who you're not to understand who you are." This resonated with Kenobi, reminding him of Jinn. Kenobi then concluded that he needed to employ unconventional thinking to rescue Jinn and the Wookiees, and he started to devise a strategy.
Returning to the imprisonment camp, Korgan instructed his Trandoshan soldiers to secure the perimeter and prevent any potential attack from Jinn. However, their preparations were interrupted by Kenobi, who approached with his hands raised in surrender. Korgan expressed his confusion at Kenobi's actions, while Jinn questioned his presence. Kenobi admitted that he was merely a Jedi learner, outmatched against the Trandoshans without his master. He then demanded that Korgan release the Wookiees and Jinn, but Korgan responded with laughter and labeled him arrogant, declaring his intent to continue filling his cages with Wookiees. However, Kenobi had a concealed plan.
Employing the Force, he unlocked Jinn's cage, setting him free. Jinn retrieved his lightsaber, and together with his apprentice, they prepared to liberate the remaining Wookiees. Korgan cautioned them about being outnumbered, but Kenobi dismissed his warning as a resounding roar echoed from the forest. Brennonn had led the Wookiees into battle, ready to confront the Trandoshans. However, Brennonn offered the Trandoshans the opportunity to surrender, given it was Life Day. Korgan accepted and yielded.
Shortly thereafter, Jinn praised Kenobi for his leadership as the Life Day celebrations reached their peak. Kenobi inquired why Jinn had not escaped his cage earlier, to which Jinn responded that he had faith in his apprentice's ability to devise an unconventional solution to save him.
They then observed Life Day and discovered that Life Day was like a celebration of the Force. He continued saying that the Wookiees understand the balance in the Force but also surprises, as Brennonn came from behind and jumped on them. He told Brennonn the she did not have to thank him and promised to join her in the celebrations. He wanted Kenobi to remember to always trust in the force because it would guide him and always teach him something new.
