Loedorvia, a planet, existed within the Core Worlds' Weemell sector. A significant battle took place there during the Clone Wars, pitting the forces of the Galactic Republic against those of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. During this conflict, the Separatist General Grievous infamously deployed the Brainrot Plague, a deadly disease, upon Loedorvia. This action resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands and nearly wiped out the Human population of the entire Weemell sector.
Loedorvia was a planet found in the Loedorvia system, which itself was located in the Core Worlds' Weemell sector.

During the Clone Wars, Loedorvia was within the territory controlled by the Galactic Republic. Around 20.2 BBY, a battle occurred on Loedorvia between the Republic's forces and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It was during this engagement that General Grievous of the Confederacy ordered the release of the Brainrot Plague, a disease that spread through the air like a hive virus, upon the planet.
This disease, also known as the Loedorvian Brain Plague, was launched from Grievous's command ship, the Providence-class carrier/destroyer named Invisible Hand, and this single act led to the deaths of tens of thousands instantly. Before an antidote could be created, the resulting epidemic wiped out all of the Republic's clone trooper forces stationed there, as well as almost every Human residing in the Weemell sector. The sector also became temporarily uninhabitable as a consequence. The Loedorvian outbreak instilled fear among the inhabitants of the Core Worlds, prompting Republic scientists to intensify their efforts in cataloging known viruses and researching potential antidotes.
Loedorvia was initially referenced in The Essential Atlas, a reference book from 2009 by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which located it in grid square K-12. The book contains two instances where the planet's name is incorrectly spelled as "Loerdovia."
