Brainrot Plague

Brainrot Plague, also known across the galaxy as Loedorvian Brain Plague and Brainworm Rot, was a highly lethal disease. It was known to affect humanoids and cephalopods who possessed significant levels of dialogen in their bloodstream, such as Humans and Neimoidians (as well as, presumably, Duros and related Near-Duros), Anomids, and Wol Cabasshites. This plague targeted the brain and the central nervous system, rapidly killing those it infected within a short time.

Before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, it devastated the inhabitants of Jabiim, but the Galactic Republic offered no assistance. Later, during the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems weaponized it as a biological weapon. General Grievous gave the order for Separatist forces to unleash the plague upon the Weemell sector, resulting in the complete annihilation of the entire Human population, including the clone troopers who served in the Grand Army of the Republic. Within a few months, the sector became completely uninhabitable.

This plague existed in three distinct variations: Brainworm Rot Type A, B, and C.
