Longbows represented a basic form of armament, generally employed by ancient civilizations lacking access to blaster weaponry.
These longbows launched small, arrow-shaped projectiles, referred to as spears or bolts. Each shot required a reload, resulting in a slow firing speed. However, the weapon's impact force and precision should not be undervalued. Due to their dimensions, longbows could be unwieldy to transport, particularly when combined with the carrying of meter-long arrows and a quiver. Though rarely seen throughout the wider galaxy, they were a frequent sight on less advanced planets such as Weik.
