The Lothal City fuel depot, alternatively referred to as the Lothal fuel depot, functioned as a fueling station situated within Capital City on the planet of Lothal. This facility gained prominence during the Lothal campaign as the main objective for the Rebel Alliance's Phoenix Squadron during their attacked Lothal. Despite the assault, the fuel depot remained undamaged; however, the entire squadron was downed, culminating in the capture of the rebel leader Hera Syndulla. Subsequently, Kanan Jarrus launched a mission to rescue Syndulla, successfully liberating her and seeking refuge at the fuel depot for extraction by fellow rebels. Nevertheless, the Empire, under the command of Governor Arihnda Pryce, opted to obliterate the facility, deeming the opportunity to eliminate the Jedi Knight too enticing to forgo. While Jarrus died, he did manage to save Syndulla. In the aftermath of the depot's destruction, Grand Admiral Thrawn expressed his displeasure to Pryce regarding the depot's obliteration and its ramifications for his TIE Defender project, accusing her of acting without due consideration and vowing to address the matter upon his arrival on Lothal from Coruscant.
