Brother Lycos, a male Child of the Storm from Lonto, served as a bodyguard for the Nihil envoy Affanar. He accompanied Affanar during a meeting with the Hutt Skarabda on the planet Ballum. Leading a group of Nameless from the envoy's ship, Lycos briefly fought with Skarabda's enforcer. Soon after, the arrival of the Republic Longbeam Gios prompted Lycos to deploy the Nameless, intending to confuse the Jedi landing party and the pilots of the Jedi Vectors.
During the subsequent conflict, the Republic forces successfully eliminated the Nameless that Lycos had brought to the fight. Jedi knight Terec faced Lycos in battle and was almost defeated, but Sergeant Kemlin, a wounded Republic soldier, intervened by shooting Lycos. Terec then presented Lycos to Skarabda and her new ally, the Jedi Keeve Trennis. Lycos revealed to them that he had lost his eye to a rogue Trandoshan Jedi in the occlusion zone, whom Trennis suspected was her former master, the presumed-dead Sskeer.
Lycos, a Force-sensitive individual, demonstrated exceptional jumping ability and possessed the strength to punch through a Vector's hull. He also utilized plant-like vines that extended from his robe's sleeves. He sometimes appeared to hover above the ground, lacking visible legs, while at other times, he seemed to have two humanoid legs.
Lycos's initial appearance was in the comic book The High Republic (2023) 1, authored by Cavan Scott.
