Lyhesh Sakku

Lyhesh Sakku was a male individual strong in the Force. He lived many millennia before the Cold War that occurred thousands of years ago between the Galactic Republic and the re-established Sith Empire. At one point, someone attempted to kill Lyhesh using poison. He lived through the attempt, but the experience drove him insane, thus he became a danger to the Jedi Order. His brother, Lorjan Sakku, who was a Jedi, then confronted Lyhesh and redeemed him, but it cost Lorjan his life.

Lorjan's sacrifice was not forgotten, and his Jedi Master posthumously gave him the title Barsen'thor, which means "Warden of the Order" in the Cerean language of the Master. The Jedi Order then continued to use the title in the future.

Behind the scenes

Lyhesh Sakku was referenced in the Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia reference book from 2012. This book served as a companion to the massively multiplayer online role-playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic from 2011, which was created by BioWare. Lyhesh and Lorjan were mentioned in an entry about Jedi ceremonial titles, providing the backstory for the Barsen'thor title, which the Jedi Consular (one of the eight playable character classes) achieves during the game.
