Lyman Zavala was a Twi'lek politician of the male persuasion. He resided on Corellia during the Galactic Civil War time period. Following the Battle of Yavin, he served as a city councilman for Tyrena. At this juncture, his friend Captain Dool of CorSec sought his assistance in probing the connection between the Chirq Council and the criminal Greck organization. To gather intelligence, Zavala tasked a spacer, dispatched to him by Captain Dool, with attacking Chirq Council members and Greck subordinates. Later, Takouhi McCumber, one of Zavala's informants, divulged to the spacer that Olag Greck himself was located at the Greck headquarters. Consequently, Lyman Zavala dispatched a team of spacers to assault Greck's private chamber and assassinate Olag Greck.
The character Lyman Zavala can be found within the directory tree files associated with Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a 2003 video game that is a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game. This game was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, before it was shut down on December 15, 2011. These files indicate that Lyman Zavala was planned to be in Tyrena and part of a questline titled "Tyrena - Lyman Zavala," being introduced with "Publish 28," on April 26, 2006. However, it is believed he never appeared as a functional non-player character on the actual game servers. However, an emulated representation derived from this character's Interchange File Format provides a glimpse of how he would have appeared had he been incorporated into the game.
