Mae's quest refers to a mission undertaken by Mae-ho ("Mae") Aniseya, a Sith acolyte and assassin, in the High Republic Era. During this mission, she pursued four Jedi—specifically Jedi Masters Sol, Torbin, Indara, and Kelnacca—all of whom had been stationed on Brendok, her homeworld, at the time of a devastating fire. This quest led Mae to clash with her sister, Verosha ("Osha") Aniseya, whom Mae believed to be deceased.
The discovery that her sister lived undermined Mae's commitment to her mission, leading her to abandon the campaign during her mission to Khofar. Her new intention was to reunite with her sibling and turn herself in to the Jedi Order. However, just as Mae's choice threatened to expose his secrets, Mae's master appeared and launched an assault on a Jedi scouting party led by Sol.
