Malat's spouse, a male Sullustan, resided on the moon of Raada in the initial year of the Galactic Empire's reign. Following the Empire's arrival, a family member on Sullust secured employment for both him and his wife, prompting him, along with Malat, and their kids, to relocate back to Sullust.
