Maramere, a world situated within the Outer Rim Territories, is identified as a planet. It functioned as the original homeworld for the Mere species, a sentient race. This planet eventually came under the control of Lord Toat from the Trade Federation, who utilized it as a depot for stygium crystals sourced from Aeten II.
Between 27 BBY and 24 BBY, Maramere experienced a period without crime. However, this changed when Sol Sixxa eliminated Toat. Subsequently, with the aid of Nym, Maramere was freed from the Trade Federation's grasp. Despite this, the Trade Federation expended considerable resources in an attempt to reclaim the planet, but Nym, assisted by Adi Gallia, ultimately defeated them in 22 BBY.
Initially, Gallia and Nym liberated prisoners held at Spacestation 1138 and overcame Harro Ruuk. The Lok Revenants, Gallia and Nym's pirate group, were then tasked with defending Maramere against Sabaoth Squadron's Hex Deployers and Hex Bombers, which were attempting to contaminate the planet using trihexalon. Following this, Nym successfully destroyed the Trade Federation's base located on Mount Merakan.
Sometime before its destruction in 22 BBY, Senator Padmé Amidala's J-type diplomatic barge was reported stolen while it was stationed on Maramere.
During the Clone Wars, Maramere thrived as a popular resort destination and maintained its allegiance to the Galactic Republic. In 20 BBY, Durge carried out the assassination of Drama Korr aboard a starship in proximity to Maramere. Subsequently, Anakin Skywalker forced Durge into an escape pod, sending him to his demise within the Karthakk system's sun.
