Maree's mother
A female human was the biological parent of the child named Maree, their offspring with General Skarhorn of the Galactic Empire. In the year 3 ABY, the trio journeyed to Garel, a world situated in the Outer Rim, where Skarhorn delivered an address at the inauguration of a munitions factory. The woman commended the general's address and remarked to Maree that she must feel pride in her father.
During Skarhorn's address, an assassin in the employ of the criminal organization Crimson Dawn made a failed attempt to kill the general. As a consequence of this attempt, Maree was propelled over an edge, and despite the woman's desperate attempts to grasp Maree, the child began to fall. Imperial Lieutenant Beilert Valance then jumped to rescue Maree, but Skarhorn was successfully assassinated by a second assassin.
Biogrphy
A [human](/article/human] female existed during the Imperial Era. By the time it was 3 ABY, she, together with Skarhorn—a male human who held the rank of general within the Galactic Empire—had a child, a human, named Maree. In that Standard year, the woman went with Skarhorn and Maree to Garel, a world in the Outer Rim, where the general was scheduled to give a speech at the opening of a munitions factory located in an Imperial Complex. As Skarhorn delivered the speech, the woman stood beside Maree and praised the general's words, before telling Maree that she should be proud of her father.
Not long after, an assassin working for the criminal syndicate Crimson Dawn approached the general while piloting an All Terrain Scout Transport walker, with the intent to kill Skarhorn for alleged offenses against innocents. Lieutenant Beilert Valance of the Empire attempted to thwart the assassin by crashing a speeder bike into the walker, causing the walker to collapse. The woman and Maree moved to avoid the falling walker, but Maree was pushed over a ledge. The woman extended their arm in an attempt to grab the child, but was unable to reach her, and Maree began to fall. After the woman shouted to the child, Valance jumped after her and successfully rescued her, however, Skarhorn was assassinated by a second assassin.
Personality and traits
The mother of Maree possessed [blond](/article/color] hair, blue [eyes](/article/eye], and a light complexion. The woman applauded the speech delivered by their partner, General Skarhorn, and informed Maree that she must be proud of her father.
Equipment
While present at the Imperial Complex on Garel, the woman was dressed in beige clothing beneath a grey [cloak](/article/cloak] adorned with a gold pin and ring.
Behind the scenes
The initial appearance of Maree's mother was in the twenty-fourth issue of the 2020 Star Wars: Bounty Hunters comic series. This issue was authored by Ethan Sacks, illustrated by Paolo Villanelli, and published by Marvel Comics on June 15, 2022. Before its official release, Maree's mother was featured in a preview of the issue that was published on StarWars.com on June 8 of the same year.
