The Mark of Intellect was a sculptural piece. It was given to a spacer during the time of the Galactic Civil War after successfully completing a task to become a hero, demonstrating their intelligence and sagacity. When joined with the other "Mark" sculptures, namely the Mark of Honor, Mark of Courage, and Mark of Altruism, it created a sphere.
In the year 1 ABY, a spacer obtained this sculpture by utilizing their intellect to aid a bounty hunter in identifying their target among a group of smugglers located on Tatooine; this all transpired under the direction of a peculiar Rodian hermit.
The Mark of Intellect made an appearance in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, which was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game. Sony Online Entertainment developed the game and LucasArts published it, before it shut down on December 15, 2011. The Mark of Intellect was incorporated into the game as a component of the "Hero of Tatooine" questline, which was launched alongside "Publish 9" on June 29, 2004. The "Hero of Tatooine" questline underwent significant changes with the introduction of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005; however, the quest rewards, including the "Mark of Intellect," remained unchanged.
