The Medosleans, a sentient species that bore a striking resemblance to substantial jellyfish, were observed at the Starlight Beacon not long after its opening. Administrator Velko Jahen witnessed a single Medoslean, whose considerable size required two cots, receiving medication from Doctor Gino'le, who held the position of Chief of Medical Operations. The patient responded poorly to the administered drugs, using her fronds to choke nurse Okana; however, Jahen intervened, successfully stabilizing the Medoslean with a booster injection.
