Metz, a human, was the frontman of the Ku-Bops, playing both lead singer and electric vioddle. He played a show on Tenoo during the time of the High Republic Era.
On the day of a show, Metz realized he couldn't find his bandmate, Bruff. Nash Durango and Lys Solay decided to help him look for Bruff, and they rode speeder bikes to his house to begin their search. When they got to Bruff's house, they talked to his brother, Sep, who told them that Bruff hadn't come home. They tried to think of other places Bruff might be, and then they went to the Hap's Sap Tap, a local cafe. When they got there, they surprised Hap and found out that Bruff was upset about singing and had left his guitar at the cantina.
The group left the cantina, and Metz heard Bruff singing near the water. He started walking towards the voice, leaving Nash and Lys behind. Nash and Lys caught up to him and found Metz and Bruff arguing about who should sing in the band for the show that night. Bruff then took a wrong step, and he and Metz accidentally fell into a malfunctioning vehicle, which sent them down the river. As they floated into the rapids, they continued to argue, and Nash and Lys started a rescue mission on the Crimson Bolt.
Lys used the Force to stop the bandmates from falling over a waterfall, and they were brought back to the docks safely. The two musicians started arguing again, but Nash and Lys stepped in to help them find a solution that they could both agree on.
The four of them then hurried to the Ku-Bops concert, which started a little late. They began to play their song, and at one point, they invited Nash to join them on stage.
