Modified Technology Systems, a corporation that existed in the Cularin system during the era preceding the Clone Wars in the times, was a supplier of various theatrical props to local fantasy productions on Genarius.
The year 31 BBY saw Dr. Shilaea Motacc, a renowned scientist, opt to join Usable Resource Location, Recovery, and Development Corporation (U.R.L.R.D.), a competing entity, rather than Modified Technology Systems. Consequently, some individuals within Modified Technology Systems conspired to abduct Motacc and coerce her into unpaid labor for their company. To this end, U.R.L.R.D. arranged for Dr. Motacc to take a respite in Rorkee, a Genarian city celebrated for its recreation of the Dorumaa Excavation. During Motacc's sojourn, Modified Technology Systems orchestrated a fabricated cave-in, facilitating her capture.
Motacc was confined to a cramped cell, where an individual obscured by a hood attempted to intimidate her. Outside of this crime, the general consensus was that she had perished, although whispers persisted within the city.
Nonetheless, Fesvk Wefos, Motacc's superior at U.R.L.R.D., harbored suspicions of foul play and dispatched an autonomous investigative unit. Wefos's team successfully located and liberated Motacc, subsequently returning her to U.R.L.R.D. However, the involvement of Modified Technology Systems remained undetected.
The sole mention of Modified Technology Systems occurs within Head in the Clouds, the inaugural installment of the Clouds of Genarius trilogy. Into the Storm Clouds, the trilogy's concluding adventure, hints that Motacc identified certain colleagues at U.R.L.R.D. as the masterminds behind her abduction.
