Mond held the rank of sergeant and was a male soldier. His service took place during the Cold War era, a period of conflict between the Galactic Republic and the newly reformed Sith Empire.
The year 3643 BBY saw Mond, along with fellow soldiers, deployed to the planet of Sebaddon. Their mission was to thwart a hex droid army with intentions of galactic annihilation. As the assault began, Mond was part of Larin Moxla's team. Shortly before they launched, Larin briefed Mond and the rest of the squadron, including Ses Jopp, who initiated the jump.
