The phrases "junk droid," or "monster droid," were applied to any droid constructed from a collection of disparate spare parts. On Tatooine, the Jawas had a reputation for assembling these types of hybridized droids for patrons who needed specialized machines. A monster droid in the technical sense was CR-8R, who was built by Rhyssa Graf using a combination of various droid models. Also, MA-13, a ferry droid, was also a monster droid.
