Standard month
A month, sometimes called a standard month, represented a duration of time encompassing multiple standard weeks. A standard year consisted of a total of twelve months.
Specific occurrences frequently took place at predetermined points within a month. For instance, on Cynda, the moon orbiting the Inner Rim planet Gorse, practitioners of blood cults materialized monthly, coinciding with the full moon, to perform blood rituals. The Q'anah celebration on the world Asmeru occurred annually on the 234th day of the 16th month, according to the Asmeru calendar. On the planet Batuu, a month was defined as a period of 30 days.
Behind the scenes
In response to a fan's inquiry regarding the assumed length of years within the Star Wars galaxy, Pablo Hidalgo suggested using a standard of twelve months. Despite the assertion in Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 61 that a year comprised ten months based on the Coruscant system, author Charles Soule confirmed that Star Wars years are structured around a twelve-month cycle.
