The Mospic High Range, a rugged area, served as a boundary separating the settlement of Mos Espa from the vast Dune Sea. It was situated at the western edge of the Northern Dune Sea, within the limited livable zone of the desert planet Tatooine's northern half. This mountain range was bisected by the shallow Xelric Draw canyon and boasted some of the tallest mountains found on Tatooine.
Biggs Darklighter, the moisture farmer, along with his companions like Luke Skywalker, frequently journeyed to the Mospic High Range's canyons. They used their skyhoppers to traverse the area at speeds of 1,200 kilometers per hour, making the trip in short time. The attraction was the podracing route that stretched through the canyons, connecting Mos Espa and Beggar's Canyon.
