Mrinzebon, a celestial body that hosted a colony, served as the location for a battle in the Clone Wars. This conflict involved Republic clone troopers fighting against Separatist droids. Later, in the era of the Galactic Empire, the colony was deemed unsuccessful, leading to the termination of its funding. Criminal organizations and gangs then infested Mrinzebon, but no single group managed to assert complete dominance. Following the death of Emperor Palpatine at the Battle of Endor, the Empire deserted Mrinzebon, withdrawing its stationed garrison. However, Vryant, a member of that garrison, chose to remain and subsequently took command of the criminal factions.
Alexander Freed featured Mrinzebon in his 2019 novel, Alphabet Squadron.
