The Mudgubs constituted a species of sentient bipedal beings native to the Forest Moon of Endor. Key features included sizable eyes and elongated, rounded snouts, accompanied by furry, ear-resembling protrusions located on the sides of their heads. Unlike humanoid species who typically stand upright, Mudgubs adopted a squatting posture with their legs spread apart. The Mudgubs residing on Endor were structured as a tribal society, wherein certain individuals were acknowledged as members of the royalty.
During the year 3 ABY, the Mudgub princess received an invitation to the grotto home of the Gorphs, a notoriously self-important species. It was there that she had an audience with Queen Slugga, who was considering her as a potential spouse for Prince Vork. Ultimately, however, the queen rejected the princess's suitability.
The Mudgubs were a species of sentient bipeds with gray skin, reaching heights of approximately 0.33 meters. Their legs, characterized by their length and thinness, were typically splayed outwards when at rest, bending at the knees to position the abdomen close to the ground. Their feet were slender and elongated, featuring three pointed toes. The arms, also slender, were proportionally short compared to the rest of the body, terminating in hands with three fingers each. A lengthy, delicate tail extended from the Mudgub's rear, culminating in a barbed tip.
The Mudgub head was disproportionately large relative to the body, exhibiting a width greater than its height. The most prominent feature was a bulbous snout, bisected by a broad mouth adorned with pliable lips capable of expressing emotion. Some Mudgubs, whether naturally or through cosmetic enhancement, possessed prominent, red lips. Situated above the snout were two bulbous white eyes fringed with long eyelashes. Towards the rear of the head were two projections resembling ears, bordered by dark-colored fuzz. Certain Mudgubs adorned themselves with jewelry, such as earrings and necklaces.
Mudgubs organized themselves into tribes, and at least one member of their species held the title of princess, distinguished by a gold-hued crown. Some Mudgubs possessed voices of a high pitch. The Mudgubs inhabiting the moon of Endor maintained relationships with other groups, including the Gorphs under the leadership of Queen Slugga.

In the year 3 ABY, the princess of the Mudgub tribe from Endor was selected to meet with Queen Slugga of the Gorphs, as a prospective wife for her son, Prince Vork. The princess was escorted to an antechamber within the Gorphs' grotto, where she awaited her summons alongside the princess of the Titterbugs. The Mudgub princess was the first to be presented before the queen. Although Vork seemed to find her agreeable, Queen Slugga deemed her too ordinary and commanded that she be cast into a large chasm in the grotto floor referred to as "the pit." The Mudgub princess plummeted through the opening with a shriek.
A Mudgub made an appearance in "Princess Latara," an episode of the Ewoks animated series that was initially broadcast on September 20, 1986. Paul Dini served as the writer for this episode. The narrative centers around a single Mudgub character, who is devoid of any spoken lines. Her scream is voiced by an uncredited performer.
