Muheeda was a Jedi Master of the Human male variety. During the Cold War period between the Republic and the Sith Empire, they served the Jedi Order on the planet of Tython. This Jedi Master, who had fair skin, gray hair, and green eyes, also had sections of facial hair on either side of their mouth. Having been trained as a Jedi Knight who wielded a single lightsaber, Muheeda took on the role of a combat instructor on Tython. They could frequently be located within the Archives of the Jedi Temple. Muheeda used Aven, their Mirialan Padawan, to let new students know that Muheeda was prepared to instruct them in the use of both lightsabers and the Force. Back in 3643 BBY, Aven directed a young initiate—who would eventually become known as the Hero of Tython—to seek out Muheeda for the purpose of acquiring new abilities. As a constant reminder of the price of aggression, Muheeda engraved the names of fallen Jedi into the hilt of their lightsaber.

Muheeda's initial appearance was in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game that BioWare and LucasArts launched in 2011, serving as the skill trainer for the Jedi Knight class on Tython, the starting planet. Initially, they were depicted as a green-skinned Rodian, but this was changed to a Human male with the release of Game Update 1.2. In the mission titled "The Arm That Holds the Saber," which Jedi Knight players receive upon their initial arrival at the Jedi Temple, players are instructed by Aven to connect with Muheeda to acquire new skills. The Star Wars: The Old Republic Explorer's Guide, which was released concurrently with the game, also identifies Muheeda's location.
