The needles, located on the planet Shuraden, were a collection of towering, somewhat delicate rock pinnacles. In the High Republic Era, Jedi Master Sskeer took his Padawan, Keeve Trennis, to this location for her Jedi Trials. His challenge for her was to find a Tythonian pendant that he had concealed on the summit of one of these spires. Near the needles was a city belonging to the Ximpi.
