Located within Keldabe, the capital city of Mandalore, the dwelling of Novoc Vevut functioned as both the familial residence for the Mandalorian Vevut clan and the workspace for Novoc Vevut's business involving the crafting and mending of weapons. Connected to this workshop was a spacious yard, where Vevut could sometimes be seen using a grinding bench to shape components for weaponry. Despite his apparent indifference to leaving metal debris in the yard, those who visited the home were expected to remove their boots before entering, a typical act of respect within Mandalorian customs.
As the Second Galactic Civil War began, the Keldabe residence served as the home of Novoc Vevut and Ghes Orade, his adopted son. However, in the year 40 ABY, Mirta Gev, granddaughter of Mand'alor Boba Fett and Orade's girlfriend, and later, wife, also took up residence in Vevut's home. Following the marriage between Orade and Gev in early 41 ABY, a sizable celebratory feast occurred at the Vevut residence.
The home of Novoc Vevut made its initial appearance in Star Wars canon within Legacy of the Force: Sacrifice, a Star Wars: Legacy of the Force novel penned by author Karen Traviss and released on May 29, 2007. Traviss revisited this location in her subsequent contribution to the Legacy of the Force series, titled Legacy of the Force: Revelation, which was published on February 26, 2008 of the following year.
