NT-242

The NT-242 was a sniper rifle used by many. It was regarded by many as a tank destroyer, and also classified as one of the heaviest longblasters available. With its effectiveness at long distances, the NT-242 could be altered to fire disruptor shots, making it effective against vehicles. A macroscope attachment could also be added, providing dual magnification settings, along with a power cell upgrade that significantly extended the firing duration before requiring cooldown.

Grummgar, the Dowutin big game hunter and mercenary, utilized an NT-242 as his hunting rifle during his illicit hunting expeditions of molsumes located on the planet Ithor. While in conversation with fellow hunter Nysorly, Grummgar discharged the rifle at a molsume when it threatened to attack Nysorly. In a twist of fate, Nysorly retaliated by firing upon Grummgar's speeder, almost killed him, being oblivious to the molsume's presence.
