Nuala Marauders
The Nuala Marauders constituted a band of pirates that operated throughout the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Confederacy backed the activities of the Nuala Marauders, as well as other similar pirate organizations; Count Dooku, the leader of the Confederacy, urged them to disrupt the Republic's supply routes during the war.
Behind the scenes
The group known as the Nuala Marauders was initially referenced within the new Star Wars canon through Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 addition to the Star Wars Roleplaying line of products from Fantasy Flight Games. Within the Star Wars Legends timeline, the Nuala Marauders were initially featured in the comic story "Aurra's Song," written by Dean Motter and released on June 21, 2000 in Dark Horse Presents Annual 2000: Girls Rule! by Dark Horse Comics.
