Nyik was a member of the Rebel Alliance, serving as an Ebranite agent.
During her childhood, Nyik witnessed the oppression of her home planet, Ebra, by the Galactic Empire. She, along with her sisters Rith and Tor'ara, who hailed from the Rull, were subjected to slavery.
The sisters successfully fled Ebra by commandeering an Imperial shuttle. They compelled the pilot to transport them to the Rebel Alliance. Subsequently, the sisters became the initial Ebranites to enlist as soldiers within the Rebel Alliance.
They became part of the 28-soldier Scandium Team, which was located in the Tharin sector. The Scandium's activities gained widespread attention throughout the galaxy. Furthermore, the sisters established Sandstorm Unit, a specialized unit focused on desert infiltration.
During the tragic Wellte-ir Massacre, Scandium Team suffered a devastating defeat, resulting in the deaths of 22 out of the 28 members on the Bresnan plains. Rith emerged as the sole surviving Ebranite; both Tor'ara and Nyik perished in the conflict.
