A male Vuvrian Jedi Master named Nystammall dedicated his service to both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic. During the Clone Wars, he held the rank of General within the Grand Army of the Republic.
After displaying Force-sensitive abilities, Nystammall was brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. He then began his training in the ways of the Force at the Temple academy. Upon graduating from the academy, he was chosen by Puroth, a Jedi Master of the Eirrauc species, to become his Padawan. As they traveled the galaxy together, Nystammall constructed a blue lightsaber, which he would use throughout his career. After years of training, Master Puroth deemed the young Vuvrian ready and recommended him to the Jedi High Council to undertake his Trials of Knighthood. Nystammall successfully completed the Trials and was subsequently elevated to the rank of Jedi Knight by the High Council.
With the outbreak of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Nystammall and his former mentor traveled to Coruscant to assume the rank of General in the Grand Army of the Republic, fighting against the Separatist horde. After fighting courageously and achieving the rank of Master, the Jedi pair found themselves stationed on Tovarskl when the planet was attacked by Confederacy General Grievous, the cyborg. Despite their valiant efforts against the General, both Jedi were killed. Grievous claimed Nystammall's lightsaber as a war trophy, carrying it for the remainder of the conflict. Near the end of the war, Grievous used both Nystammall's and Puroth's lightsabers in his duel against Master Obi-Wan Kenobi on Utapau. Although Kenobi defeated the Kaleesh cyborg, the lightsabers were never recovered.
