The Eternal Empire's conquest of the galaxy resulted in the occupation of the world Denon, a planet. Once the Galactic Republic's fleet was defeated in the skies above, Human soldiers who were not Skytrooper units were deployed to the planet's surface. Riots broke out among the Denon population, and Captain Koth Vortena and his unit received orders to fire upon the protesting citizens, an order they refused to follow. This event led Vortena and Len Parvek to abandon the Eternal Empire and take up arms against Emperor Arcann.
