Len Parvek

Len Parvek, a male Human, was a member of Koth Vortena's squad in the Zakuul military. He later joined the Alliance to fight against his own planet.

Biography

Len Parvek found refuge on Asylum.

Len Parvek was born on Zakuul and dedicated several years to the Eternal Empire's military, operating as an officer under Koth Vortena's command. He was initially a loyal follower of the Immortal Emperor Valkorion, but his loyalty to his home world began to fade after Arcann usurped his father's throne and initiated a violent conquest against both the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. During the Occupation of Denon, Vortena's unit received orders to brutally suppress the rebelling Denon populace. This moment proved pivotal for Koth, who defied the command and was subsequently removed from his position. Recognizing a shared sense of morality with his commander, Len liberated Koth from confinement and secretly transported him to the Asylum shadowport.

The two defectors spent several months evading the Knights of Zakuul, assembling a diverse crew that included individuals like Ralo, a former Republic Corporal, and Tora, a gifted engineer. In 3631 BBY, Koth joined forces with Lana Beniko in a mission to rescue her associate from carbonite imprisonment. During their escape from Zakuul, they discovered the legendary warship known as the Gravestone, which they utilized to reach Asylum. There, Len and the rest of the crew assisted Koth in restoring the ship to its peak operational status. When the Eternal Fleet arrived at their location, initiating the Battle of Asylum, Len instructed SCORPIO to activate the ship's turbolasers and then participated in the defense of the ship against Skytrooper assaults.

The crew successfully escaped the conflict aboard the Gravestone and journeyed to Odessen, where Beniko established a formal Alliance against the Eternal Empire. Koth and Len, along with their entire crew, joined this alliance. Ultimately, the Alliance succeeded in overthrowing Arcann, only to have his sister Vaylin seize the Eternal Throne in his stead, collaborating with SCORPIO. Through deception, the pair initiated an Assault on the Gravestone, infiltrating the vessel disguised as a civilian transport. Vortena managed to avoid capture, but Len, Tora, and the rest of the crew were taken prisoner by Vaylin on the ship's bridge. When SCORPIO needed Koth's personal information to bypass his encryption, Vaylin used the Force to torture Parvek until he revealed the passcode: the names of soldiers who had perished under Koth's leadership during his military service.

Vaylin and SCORPIO subsequently departed from the bridge, which allowed Koth and the Alliance Commander to reach it and liberate Len and the other crew members. Koth then revealed that he had planted a quantum bomb on the ship and instructed Len and the rest of the crew to board the escape pods. They managed to eject shortly before SCORPIO took control of the vessel and propelled it into hyperspace. The Alliance eventually triumphed over Vaylin and claimed the Eternal Throne, which was then transformed into the Eternal Alliance, merging the military forces of Zakuul and the Eternal Fleet with the Alliance's cause. Len Parvek remained an active participant in this unified organization.

Behind the scenes

Len Parvek made his debut appearance in "Chapter 6: Asylum" within the Knights of the Fallen Empire digital expansion for the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.

If the player makes two Dark Side choices, specifically allowing the Sun Generator to explode in Chapter III: The Outlander and subsequently permitting Kaliyo Djannis to detonate the bombs in the Spire during Chapter X: Anarchy in Paradise, Koth Vortena will become disillusioned with the player's actions and abandon the Alliance, accompanied by Len Parvek and Ralo, while Tora chooses to stay behind. In this scenario, they will later reappear during the Battle of Odessen and seize the Gravestone from the Alliance during the conflict. The crew, excluding Tora, will still be captured by Vaylin and her forces, and Koth will still order them to evacuate in an escape pod, but in this instance, the nearby Alliance Fleet is hostile.
