An ancient military installation, a bunker, was situated on the beach a bit to the northeast of the city of Kaadara on the Mid Rim planet of Naboo. During the era of the Galactic Republic, the Royal Naboo Security Forces utilized this bunker as a research center to gain insight into Trade Federation droids. By the point of the Galactic Civil War, the Skaak Tippers, a criminal syndicate, had taken control of the bunker.

Originally, the old war bunker functioned as a research facility for the Royal Naboo Security Forces. Their goal was to deepen their understanding of Trade Federation droids during the period leading up to the Battle of Naboo.
Subsequently, as the Galactic Civil War unfolded after 0 BBY, the Skaak Tippers, a criminal enterprise, had seized the bunker. In 1 ABY, Rebel Alliance Special Agent Maximilian Vox, who also served as an Imperial Lieutenant, suggested that spacers explore the bunker. The aim was to uncover details about experimental droid artificial intelligence dating back to the Old Republic. During this investigation, a spacer came across a peculiar computer bearing a barely decipherable inscription: "Willoc." This individual turned out to be a sergeant within the Royal Naboo Security Forces. Upon the spacer's interaction with the computer, Colonel Quarsh Panaka implored the spacer to visit him in Kaadara, noting that it had been more than a week since their last communication.
The old war bunker was featured as a location in Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and released by LucasArts, in 2003. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. The bunker was introduced to the game as a component of the "Legacy Quest" event, coinciding with the launch of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.
