The Onderon Royalists were sentient beings and various groups situated on the Inner Rim world of Onderon. They gave their allegiance to Queen Talia rather than her cousin, General Vaklu, during the time of the Onderon Civil War. Royalist sentiments manifested in different ways. Some were personally devoted to Talia, others felt obligated to support her as the reigning monarch, and some supported her stance of keeping Onderon a part of the Republic. Terlyn's husband, for instance, was such a committed royalist that he even attempted to assassinate Vaklu.
Following the outbreak of the Onderon Civil War, the Royalists were able to secure a close victory during the Second Battle of Onderon. Ultimately, the Royalist cause was successful due to the efforts of Meetra Surik along with some covert support from the Galactic Republic and the unexpected assistance of the Mandalorians residing on Onderon's moon, Dxun.
The Onderon Royalists made an appearance in the 2004 RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, which was created by Obsidian Entertainment. This game served as a sequel to the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which was developed by BioWare.
If Meetra Surik chooses to side with the Onderon separatists, the Royalists are defeated in the Onderon Civil War, and Onderon subsequently withdraws from the Republic.
If Surik aids Queen Talia, Talia will either order Vaklu's immediate execution for treason upon his surrender, or, if Surik persuades her, she will spare him to be imprisoned pending trial. If Talia is left to her own devices, she will have him executed by firing squad.
