Ornfra, a terrestrial planet belonging to the Chiss Ascendancy, resided in the Unknown Regions' Ornfra system. This planet, situated within the Ascendancy's northeast-zenith sector, served as a significant center for both economic and political activities. Ornfra housed fortresses belonging to all Nine Ruling Families and seventeen of the Forty Great Families. The Dasklo family, one of the nine Ruling Families, possessed more extensive properties on the planet than the others, including the Krolling Sen shipyard and its associated research facilities.
Captain Roscu was dispatched to Ornfra by Patriarch Rivlex, and during her initial approach, her vessel, the Orisson, nearly met its end due to a Grysk missile concealed within an asteroid's outer layer. Upon her subsequent return, the Orisson found itself under attack from a Grysk warship, leading Roscu to execute a close escape into hyperspace.
