Oshadam served as a senator for Naboo and the Chommell sector within the Galactic Senate. This planet's previous senator, Sheev Palpatine, was elected to the role of Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic following the Invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY, which created a vacant senatorial seat. Despite reluctance from many politicians, Oshadam ultimately accepted the position as Naboo's representative.
By 28 BBY, Oshadam believed her time in office was complete and chose to resign from her position. Simultaneously, Padmé Amidala, the Queen of the Naboo people, finished her reign and was replaced by Réillata, an opera singer and former queen, who then requested that Amidala succeed Oshadam. After joining the Senate, Amidala observed that Oshadam was courteous but ready to leave, assuming that Oshadam had grown tired of the Senate's slow and uncertain processes.
The 2019 novel Queen's Shadow, penned by E. K. Johnston, included a reference to Oshadam.
