An Osteo fragmenter served as an instrument of inquisition, crafted for the purpose of gaining intelligence from a captured individual. In the year 34 ABY, an osteo fragmenter was among a collection of interrogation devices housed within a recessed area of the interrogation chamber aboard the First Order _Resurgent_-class Star Destroyer named Finalizer. It was present during the questioning of Resistance pilot Poe Dameron by Kylo Ren, the commander of the Knights of Ren. Furthermore, during the year's occuaption of the planet Batuu by the First Order, an osteo fragmenter, contained within a compact white container, was observed resting on a crate in the courtyard of Savi's Workshop, situated within Black Spire Outpost on Batuu.
