The Outer Rim Imperial Fleet was a fleet of the Imperial Navy. Its location was within the Outer Rim around 0 ABY, which was shortly after the Battle of Yavin.
This naval force included multiple Imperial-class Star Destroyers as well as a minimum of three Immobilizer 418 cruisers, which were provided by Imperial Drydock IV. The most formidable part of this fleet was Scourge Squadron, a task force consisting of 24 Imperial-class Star Destroyers. This squadron was commanded by the Executor-class Star Dreadnought known as the Reaper.
Wilhuff Tarkin, the Grand Moff of Oversector Outer, commanded the Outer Rim fleet until 0 ABY, after which Ardus Kaine took command.
It's probable that this fleet was formed out of the 18th Sector Army when the Greater Seswenna region was reorganized into Oversector Outer.
The Outer Rim fleet dissolved when Grand Moff Kaine became a warlord. He then commanded Scourge Squadron to regroup within the New Territories to join the Pentastar Alignment. The disappearance of Scourge Squadron from Oversector Outer aided the rapid advance of the New Republic fleet following the Battle of Endor.
