Scourge Squadron

Once a naval squadron within the Pentastar Patrol under the Pentastar Alignment, Scourge Squadron had previously been a component of the Imperial Navy belonging to the Galactic Empire. Its structure and purpose mirrored that of Death Squadron.

Description

Scourge Squadron comprised a force of 24 Imperial-class Star Destroyers, all under the command of the Star Dreadnought known as the Reaper.

History

When Grand Moff Ardus Kaine was elevated to command Oversector Outer, replacing Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin, Scourge Squadron became part of the Outer Rim Imperial Fleet under his leadership. Its main objective was to locate and eliminate Rebel activities within the Outer Rim Territories.

Later, when Grand Moff Kaine became a warlord, he commanded Scourge Squadron to assemble in the New Territories, openly defying the Empire. Ultimately, this fleet served as the primary military strength behind his Pentastar Alignment. The disappearance of Scourge Squadron from Oversector Outer significantly aided the rapid advancement of the New Republic fleet following the Battle of Endor.
