The Palladane family hailed from the Outer Rim planet of Chelloa, situated within the Grumani sector. They were a Human lineage that existed during the era known as the Republic Dark Age. A notable member, Gorlan Palladane, previously served as a Jedi Knight. He chose to operate in secrecy when the Sith, through the Chagras Hegemony and later the succeeding Daimanate under the Sith Lord Daiman's command, occupied the region. Roah Palladane was his spouse, and together they had two offspring: an older daughter named Aneese Palladane and a younger son named Jalen Palladane.
