Palsaang existed as a city situated upon Kashyyyk. This planet, found in the Mid Rim, served as the original homeworld for the sentient Wookiee species.
Within the established Star Wars canon as it currently stands, Palsaang's introduction occurred in issue forty-third of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine, released approximately on October 28, 2015. The city was initially conceived within the Star Wars Legends timeline, debuting in the eighty-first issue of the Star Wars: Republic comic book series. This particular issue marked the beginning of the Hidden Enemy story arc, penned by John Ostrander, with illustrations by Jan Duursema, and made available on January 4, 2006.
